Every day we’re forced to make decisions that affect our lives.

Did you ever decide to be successful in your Network Marketing business? This is something many people don’t realize will help them beyond anything else. Did you even know you could? Do you realize what decision you already made your first day, week and month into your network marketing business? I’m not talking about what you said to your sponsor or the people around you. I’m talking about the decision you told the only person that can make your dreams come true…YOU.

Almost everyone that I talk to in network marketing tells me the same thing. It’s almost like prospects and new members have rehearsed their part as much as the leaders and closers do theirs. Here’s what they tell me:

“I’m going to work hard until I get to 5K per month so that I can quit my job”

“I’ve finally found the right company, now I can make it”

“Yes, of course I can work at least 1 hour per day, in fact, I’m going to work an extra 4-5 hours per day to succeed with this”

and the most popular:

“I’ll do whatever it takes”

Yeah….right. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Don’t try to convince me of what you plan to do. I’m not the one that needs convincing…I’m already successful.

I’ve seen the success rate of new members on my team and it’s not pretty. I’ve seen the success rate in the industry and it’s NOT pretty. No matter what training, tools, and support is provided, the results are the same. So why are there so many people that are deciding they want to be a great success not getting there.

Well for one, most people are just paying lip-service to the decision and not internalizing it. They SAY they are deciding to make it, but inside they are still telling themselves things like “I need this to work”, “I hope this works”, or “I really want this to work”. If you’re one of these people that are wearing your decision on the outside and not internalizing it, then you will probably continue to struggle forever.

So how do you change?

Change starts with a decision. Please don’t take this lightly either and don’t just say “Ok Joel, I decide to succeed”. It’s not that easy. You need to really have a hard look at yourself and decide that you are ready for a change in your life. Remember that your mind will want to shelter you from the pain of failing, so in order to go “all in” with your decision, you will need to make sure that you truly believe it’s possible for you to make it and that the good feelings that are going to come from winning, outweigh the thoughts or feelings of failing. You need to believe that you WILL make it.

Since success in network marketing comes from working through lots of small failures, you need to be prepared for that. Success in network marketing comes from working through rejection and ridicule. You need to be prepared for that. Success in network marketing comes from never giving up, no matter what. Are you prepared for that?

If you are truly ready to make the decision in your life to succeed in your network marketing business, I think it’s about time you did. I think it’s about time we had more people succeed in network marketing. There will be many new success stories this year…so why not you? It’s up to you to decide, just make sure you take this decision seriously because it will impact the rest of your life in a really big way. When you say you are willing to do whatever it takes…are you going to take that seriously and really do whatever it takes?
